are you planning on attending??

First of all, GREAT JOB! Hope (not) to see you there (since I'm transferring to another school from CU). In any event, enjoy life in Ithaca if you're planning on attending, that is.

congrats!! I'm still waiting on CAS.....:/

wow, congratulations! How did you find out?
(She's probably going to go off to celebrate and never return to this thread or subforum, lol...)

haha thanks so much everyone...I found out in the mail, I think that it was delivered on Saturday, but I was actually gone for the weekend and just got it today. It was so crazy, I opened my teeny little dorm mailbox and saw a package slip (and I never get packages) and I thought that if it was from a college that it would be from Bowdoin. But then I saw the Cornell seal and just couldn't handle it...haha i was crying so much and it was ridiculous. Cornell was my dream school, I applied ED and got deferred and then rejected. I will most likley go, I have some great friends there and love Ithaca...I will just be waiting until I find out from the other schools before I make the big decision. But I wil probably go :) Here are my stats (sorry I do't really know the format lol)

College Stats:
1st semester gpa: 3.76
college: University of Michigan Ann Arbor
EC's: Weekly Tutoring in Detroit, SDS
ACT (took in Feb.): 32

HS Stats:
gpa: 4.17 W
EC's: tons!! A lot of leadership stuff
ACT: 29
AP's: Calc BC, Art History, US History, US Gov, Econ: Micro and Macro, Physics B, Chem, Bio, English Lit

I applied to Relgion major and talked about my interest in international relations and the peace studies program. I also visited Cornell many times...if you want to knwo anything else, just ask!! Oh, and my on-line applicaiton status has my decision too and it just makes me really happy!! :)

Typical, emotionally fragile female.

Just kidding. Congrats. :)

Aren't you going to miss Ann Arbor and the great school spirit at UM?

Ever hear of Cornell Hockey? :)

When did you send in your application?

Cornell hockey has seen better days.

Cornell lax though, now youre talking.

haha...i will miss ann arbor...i love it but i live really close, so i can come visit any time!! and funny you should mention the school spirit...in high school i was soo spirited, but i just couldn't get into it here!! and it made me really sad because everyone else was so excited all the time...i think that i might ust have a problem that the school almost cancelled classes when the old football coach died...i mean, he was a great coach, but he was just a guy!! lol there were so many vidules and stuff it was really kinda over-kill on the football thing...

i sent in my common app around the beginning of march and the supplement i think on the 12th or 13th

And you said you guys received letters in the mail? What about checking decisions on the website, does that change as well?

Mine hasn't said anything, it just says received and I gave a call in today and the lady told me May 1st.

I'm quite confused, any other CALS (communication) applicants here?

i also applied and haven't heard anything back yet.

anyone heard anything for hotel school? and does anyone know when to expect the letters or dicision?

anyone heard anything from engineering school? when does the decision release tho?
