Oh and I don't know if this will help but I'm a Russian jew. My family immigrated when I was 3 and I still speak Russian fluently.
Also, my sister's currently attending cornell law

-Thanks

Actually, I found my gpa; it's a 120.47 out of 130. But I'm not sure if this is weighted or not.

I'd say you have a really good shot. Good scores and GPA, interesting background, great ECs/volunteer work.

Just curious: if cornell is your top choice, why didn't you apply early.

being jewish wont herp you get into cornell. there are plenty of us :D

Thanks for the feedback.

I didn't apply early because I need to compare their financial aid package to other schools. It maybe my top school but if I don't recieve any aid, I likely won't be going.
And yea, I figured being jewish doesn't help but I thought I'd just throw that in there. Haha, I'm glad I'm not alone

Yep, I'm a Jew too.

I was talking about the Russian immigrant aspect being interesting.

My essay actually centers around that; it's kind of cliche but I talked about how my father's dreams were crushed in Russia because he was Jewish, how he still managed to make something of himself here in america, and how that inspired me.

That's not cliche, it's a good topic.

yeah, more unique than "the inspiring homeless guy on the community service trip my daddy paid for me to go on." Your topic isn't bad at all.

I once got in trouble for giving a homeless guy money...a cop thought I was buying crack...I love tangents.

hahahahaha, if you know lexy, she once got stopped in NYC with her blunt sword balancing sword on the way to a dance class, by a SWAT team or something.
