can someone please explain how Cornell's study abroad program works...as in when do we "sign up" for it and how do we choose where we want to study...also, in what years can we do it? and for a premed student, i've heard its toughter to do a semester abroad...would we have to plan all that out before freshman year?

also, where do they offer to study abroad? THANKSSSS SO MUCHH! :D

I know that in the past they have had info sessions specifically about studying abroad for pre-meds. so it definitely can be done, if you are really interested. people in probably both the undergraduate bio office and the study abroad offices will work with you to make it happen.

since you’re “pre-med” (cornell doesn’t offer a pre-med major), i’m assuming you’ll probably be doing a biological sciences-related major and so you might be in CALS. if you are in CALS, there’s a specific CALS Abroad office for study abroad. but you can still do Cornell Abroad. the only difference is that your credits are guaranteed to transfer through CALS Abroad and you continue paying tuition to Cornell - not to your study abroad university.
