So recently I have been admitted to both the Cornell and Columbia
Summer Colleges. The Cornell one is by far cheaper than that of Columbia.
(5500 for Cornell-around 7000 for Columbia) And Cornell provides 3.00 college
credit whereas Columbia does not. I am also concerned about which one has
a better campus and better facilities. Oh, and also workload.
Will the Columbia summer college look better on college applications?
My dream school is Columbia University, so that is why I really want to go but
the expenses are ridiculous.
Please let me know ASAP!!!

Just go to Cornell.
It really won’t matter whether or not you went to Columbia SC, as long as you are doing something productive with your summer.

lol it’s summer college, it doesn’t matter. Go to Cornell and take the college credit and cheaper price. Going to Columbia Summer College does not mean you will automatically get into Columbia.

So you’re concerned about expenses but you’re still going through with this? What benefits do you see from one of these programs? One measly class (will it even count toward a major?) is probably not a sufficient reason to go.

My advice is to go do something interesting and either cost-neutral or positive with your summer, such as working a job or volunteering. That will look better than some bourgeois summer school at an ivy league college.

GTHOPEFUL - So negative…
