Corporate Scholarships not for children of employees?

I just figured out that I'm a semifinalist and started looking through the list of awards. I noticed that there were many corporate-sponsored scholarships, usually for children of employees. My parent works for a small business that isn't large enough to sponsor awards. Does anyone know if there are any corporate awards that are not directed towards children of employees (ex: academic interests, certain extracurriculars, etc.)?

I am pretty sure they are focused at their employees’ kids, unless maybe there aren’t any NMSF’s in their pool of employees… my D is in the same situation, and we are assuming that the corporate scholarships are probably not going to be in the picture for her.

There are a very few, but not many. If you read descriptions in the booklet that came with the practice test, one company (PPG) has some for kids in the area they have facilities, some companies (Chevron, CSX, Knovel, LMI Aerospace, Omron, etc) have a few for specific majors who live in certain areas.

There are a tiny number, but they seem to be from a few corporations that are funding a few corporate scholarships for a few students who will major in a unique major that relates to the company.

Shibb…If you want a NMF scholarship, then apply to one of the schools that give them to all their NMF students.
