My S emailed UCSD since he was accepted in another program and was waiting for COSMOS to inform about his status. They responded that he is still waitlisted but they have already send out the first round of waitlisted applicants who were accepted. They did not tell us the date on when the 2nd round decisions would be made.
So while there is still a chance of being accepted it will be a couple more weeks while these kids reply. Looks like this. My S decided to take another program.
You probably weren’t aware that the biomedical sciences cluster has a 3% acceptance rate.
