I have a 4.21 weighted and a 3.9 unweighted GPA. I have several extracurriculars and have gone to state for science fair my freshman year (and I hope to go again this year). I am part of a lot of stem classes (ap physics, ap cs, ap statistics, ap calc) as a junior, do I have chances of getting into COSMOS UC Irvine this summer?
I remember attending COSMOS in my freshman year. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
I got in during freshman year to the most competitive site, UC Davis for mathematics (first choice cluster and probably one of the more competitive ones alongside bio). I had a 4.00 GPA and 4.3 weighted GPA. I was taking a year ahead in almost all subjects and had qualified for AIME. Please note that as you grow older, they expect more from you such as STEM awards and hard coursework. Given that UC Irvine is the easiest site to get into, I would say anyone, and I do mean anyone, has a shot of getting in. It all depends on your intended cluster. Based on what your academic record shows, I would say you have a decent chance of getting in. However, the juniors who I went to COSMOS with had a lot more STEM awards than the ones you listed.
