Cost Effective Ways of Sending AP Scores

I just finished my sophomore year, and I took 2 APs. I'm happy with my scores, and I know which colleges I'd like to send them to. However, I noticed that the cost is $15 per college, regardless of the number of APs I had taken. Next year I'm going to take 4 APs, and I'll probably be sending those.

So, would I be allowed to send all 6 APs next year to a college for $15, or would it still be $15 to send this year's and $15 to send next year's, for a total of $30 per college.

In essence, can AP tests only be sent on a year by year basis?

When you are a senior and take an AP test, indicate the college you will be attending on the answer sheet and the college will get all your AP scores for free.

Sending scores beforehand is a waste of money; colleges do not require them before admittance. Self-report your scores on the common app.

Would the same apply to SAT 2 scores?

No. If the school to which you are applying requires SAT subject scores (few do), then you have to send those in. However, I would only send them once.

@skieurope So if I selected the college that I’m going to attend as the college to send the AP scores to this year, will all my past AP scores in previous years be sent there as well?

@halcyonalcyone Yes, all past AP scores will be sent as well.
