I’m from the UK and I’m currently taking A-Levels. In my application, I listed that I will be taking 4 subjects for my final A2 examinations. However, I recently dropped a subject so I’ll only be taking 3 subjects.
I reported this change to UCLA on the 21st of March and they emailed me saying they will reply within 15 working days. It’s now the 18th of April and still no reply. My Congratulations letter on the portal is gone and is replaced by “we have received your changes and they are under review.”
I also emailed them about this and received no reply. UCLA’s my first choice and I want to SIR but I’m freaking out thinking that they might get even more upset if I SIR-ed before receiving a definite reply. I got all A’s for all 4 subjects in all my previous exams but I’m still worried they might rescind because I dropped a subject.
Does anybody know anyone that has been through this/ Has anybody been through this themselves? Did they/you get rescinded? Help a hopeful Bruin out
Just updating in case anybody else experiences the same problem in the future - my admission offer stands! Hopefully this helps somebody, I was losing my mind when I couldn’t find anyone that had the same problem I did. See you Bruins this fall!
HI not sure if this is the same situation, but I also got accepted to UCLA as a psychology major and I had listed that I planned to take chem 10 ( a prerequisite requirement) in the spring. I couldn’t get into the class because it was full though, so I had to report it to UCLA that Im going to take it in the summer. I’m very worried because the admissions advisor says it will definitely make me less competitive and they will have to review my application. Are we technically in the same situation, I sure hope so.
I’m not sure either, but from what I’ve been told, as long as you maintain a 3.0+ GPA, you should be fine. Was the subject that you dropped a major preparatory course for your major?
