You have a great shot, I'd say.

I agree with bullgodbull

damn the competition is getting better....

no shot with that nick :-p

you have great chances...keep up the good work.

No one can accurately predict chances for you or anyone else because the school builds a well rounded class that is aligned with its institutional mission which changes from year to year.

Things to consider:

What is your unweighted GPA?

What are your scores?

ECs are nice but lack focus. It is better to have one or 2 ECs over a sustained period of time and grow in responsibility and leadership in that EC than to have a laundry list of EC (quality over quanity)

IF are an international student so you will be part of the pool of international candidates. If you are an international student, will you need aid?

after all has been said and done, all you can do is toss in your application and let the process play itself out.

good luck.

This his gpa from another post.

9th: 84%
10th: 87%
11th: 88%
12th: 92% (honor roll)

seems kind of low even with an upward trend. plus internationals have more competition which will take away your AA boost.

I noticed that you posted on all of the Ivy League discussion boards. Might I suggest that you actually consider why you want to go to a specific school other than just fame and prestige? As to your chances, the international pool is very competitive and I'm not familiar with GPA in Panama but your unweighted GPA is low for any Ivy League school as is your writing score on the SAT.

He obviously wants prestige. He posted for every top 20 school. He is not going to get in. He knows nothing about the schools. His dream school changeds everyday. He is not getting in if he doesn't do something. As for the international pool your probably not going to get in because of the competition. There are so many internationals from India/China/Korea who are better than you, some are math and science geniuses.

ah come on dont be too harsh collegehopeful :) When people jump into the college process they tend to look at top colleges only. Give him time to settle! ;)
