Could I get into the naval academy?

<p>Please be honest. Some of these grades are projected, and not actually earned; please treat them as if i have earned them. I screwed up freshman year, but does that mean i can still get in if i get straight a's my next 3 years?</p>

I have a 3.76 GPA unweighted with many AP classes

<p>3 Years of Varsity Golf for my high school </p>

<p>I have been fencing in a club for about 5 years now outside of school</p>

<p>My Non-Official SAT scores are:

I have yet to take the ACT but I will</p>

<p>I have connections with Coast guard Rear Admirals, and Coast guard lieutenants, and with other naval officers.</p>

<p>I have wanted to attend the naval academy since i was a little boy and both of my grandfathers were officers in the navy so i really want to keep the navy tradition alive in my family. </p>

<p>Please let me know if you think i have a chance into getting into the naval academy.</p>

<p>Is NROTC an option if you couldn’t get into Navy? Also, write your essays not about why you want to attend Navy but why you want to become a naval officer.</p>

<p>Could someone chance me for the Naval Academy? I have submitted all parts of my application and am only waiting on my congressional nomination. I just went on a Candidate Visitation Weekend and loved it. I was just wondering what ya’ll thought of my chances.</p>

<p>Transferred Schools from Boston to New York because family was in search of work. Boston College High School Freshman year, Schreiber High School the other three years. Overall GPA is a 3.9 out of 4.0
ACT = 31 composite, 29 math, 30 english, 32 reading, 32 science
Class Rank = 30 out of 419 students
CFA = 14 pull ups, 75 push ups, 95 crunches, 7.8 on shuttle run, 90 ft ball throw, 6:30 mile time.
This year I am taking AP Biology, AP Literature, AP Latin, AP Computer Science, Precalc/diff calc, AP Government, Economics.
I am a 4 year varsity athlete in Tennis (captain two years in a row).
Soccer (JV) Freshman and Sophomore Year.
Sailing Captain during the summer and fall since my school has no sailing team.
National Honor Society Vice-President, Quiz Bowl President, Student Government Officer.
I had a “slump” year sophomore year since it was the year I transferred schools, but it wasn’t bad at all since my GPA was still a 3.65. Still it was not up to my standards.</p>

<p>This is my number one choice of schools, but just in case I applied nrotc as well. </p>
