*This is a repost from the UCLA Class of 2015 thread that I started. Sorry for the spam! I would just really like a response.
:
Senior year I took a pretty full course load, with 4 of my 5 classes being AP or Honors.
First semester I did really well:
AP Econ: A
AP Lit: A
AP Stats: B
Physics: A
Spanish 4 Honors: B

Second though...I got hit by senioritis really seriously but I also had a lot of turbulent family problems. This is the WORST CASE SCENARIO for my grades:
AP Gov: B
AP Lit: B
AP Stats: B
Physics: B
Spanish 4 Honors: C

Which puts me just under a 3.0 unweighted for my second semester. I MAY be able to salvage the C in Spanish but I want to know if I should notify UCLA that I might get worse grades?
Overall for senior year that puts me at a 3.2. UNWEIGHTED. Keep in mind that almost all my classes are AP or Honors classes. What should I do? Will I get rescinded?
Please respond because I am really worried :(

If you’re able to keep your overall senior year (2 semesters averaged) above a 3.0 (with no more than 2 C’s) you have nothing to worry about. I’m sure you’ll get better grades than those you listed as a worst case scenario. I was in your shoes a few weeks ago thinking I was going to get 2 C’s and B’s for the rest but I fixed my grades up to 1B and all A’s :D.

I seriously doubt that you have anything to worry about. Even in your worst case scenario, your senior year gpa is above a 3.0
I would say to look at your condition of admission. If you aren’t breaking it, then you are absolutely fine. If it says that you must maintain the gpa that you reported on your application, then there might be a very small chance that you could have some turbulence, but I still highly doubt that they would rescind you.

If they rescinded everyone who gets B’s in their last semester of high school, I have a feeling that UCLA would be a lonely place. Like Hootenanny said, you should check your condition of admission, but I’m sure you’ll be fine.

So, did anybody end up getting rescinded? I’m rather curious. Although, I would imagine that anyone who was rescinded wouldn’t be in a rush to come on CC and announce it.
