Could I Graduate in 3 years as a Chemistry Pre-Med?

I’m transferring in as a freshman with 31 credits, half of which were applicable to my major, the others as electives. I’m also planning on taking summer courses, such as Organic Chem. This means I would have to take my MCAT right after my sophomore year. Is this doable, or easier said than done?

Not quite understand when you said “transferring in as a freshman”, transfer from where - a community college? Why you in such a rush? You should start prep’ing MCAT after completed Biochem (which is after Orgo). Doable on what basis? If your sGPA is not 3.7+, what’s the point of rushing? Rushing to do post-bacc/SMP?

In theory you might be able to graduate from college in 3 years, but would you be competitive applicant for medical schools?

The latter is exceptionally unlikely since besides an excellent GPA/sGPA (3.7+) and MCAT score (511+), medical schools expect significant ECs–including clinical volunteering/employment, physician shadowing, community service with the disadvantaged in your community, leadership roles in your ECs, and bench or clinical research. (And btw, all these ECs need be done during college. High school ECs don’t count.)

Without the relevant ECs, your application won’t even get considered. Do you have a plan to get all of those things done in the next year?

Plus you’ll need 3- 5 very strong letters of recommendation from your college professors (both science and non-science professors) to apply? Will you have made the kind of strong personal connections with your professors that result in a a good LOR in the next year?

So, as @Andorvw said, “What’s your hurry?”

Whatever you do, do not take org + lab in the summer, that might spell desaster. Not sure how much do you know about the subject, but it require longer time to absorb, 6 weeks are not enough to 99.9% of the students.
