Hey guys,

I am an international student I applied in the US and Canada and the enrollment deposit deadline in both is May 1 2014 however because of the visa issues I need more time to see where I will go. So is it ok to pay enrollment deposits at 2 different universities or is it illegal? And what happens if I pay it and not attend?

Thanks

Sometimes people do it, but It is considered unethical and the risk is that you could get admission revoked at one or all of your colleges. I don’t suppose it is an issue if you deposited one at each country. You would just lose your deposit, likely, if you don’t enroll. It isn’t illegal not to attend a college after depositing. Did you ask the college for an extension given the circumstances?

I did but they were very strict on the deadline. Only one of the colleges extended the deadline for 3 days only. So no help at all. I guess I will just take the risk.

Thank you so much
