Could I Possibly Get In?

alright, well as of now im a senior in hs and i have yet to take the SATs which is a big deal for college admissions, so putting the SAT scores aside do you think i might have a change of getting into either USC or Pepperdine?

right now im taking ap french 4, ap psychology, ap english lit, ap gov., principles of leadership (for student council), and trigonometry.

my unweighted gpa is kind of low. it's a 3.563. my class rank is 57 of 396.

to be honest my classes have all gotten much harder since freshman year where i started out with no honors classes but my grades have sort of gone down. i get a's and b's and second semester of junior year 2 c's.

im in extra curriculars. im student body historian, im most likely going to get vice president or pres. of international club, im on the staff of a local magazine, i work, and junior year i was entertainment and features editor of our school newspaper, and im involved in theatre. and i have a job.

so, with that bit of information do you think im applying to schools that are completely out of my league and that i have NO chance of getting into? or is there at least a glimmer of hope for me?

Here's the USC and Pepperdine freshman profiles. The profile will show you the "stats" for the freshman picked for this school year (GPA, SAT scores...etc). Otherwise it's a crap shoot....which means it depends on your application essay, where you live in the US, your ethnic background, and just plain chance.

2001? Mixer, that Pepperdine CDS is a little outdated. Is there a more recent one available?

Whoops sorry about that....typing faster than thinking. The search name for these stats are: "Common Data Sets" you can usually enter those terms in the search box at most college websites.

Here's 2006-2007 for Pepperdine
