Could my acceptance be rescinded?

Hi, guys! I'm sorry for asking this type of question, but I'm worried about asking my parents...I've had pretty good marking period grades in calc (92, 89, 87), but this quarter my grade might be a 50 bc my teacher won't accept work handed in late. On top of that, we don't have a lot of assignments for last quarter, so not having those few assignments in really killed my grade. My final transcript won't show the 50, but my final grade would come to 79 which is a C. Would admissions think about rescinding my acceptance? All my other grades are shining. Btw my mom already paid part of the tuition.

You will want to notify the school as soon as possible.
Personally, I highly doubt the school will rescind your admission - had your grade been a D, then you would have reasons to worry.

@Fredjan‌ should I explain the situation?

@ocflav‌
That, I can’t answer; I’ll let a more experienced CC poster take care of that question.

@Fredjan‌ thanks!

Avoid Ds, Fs and Felonies. A C should be fine. BTW, don’t let this happen in college. There is usually no opportunity for late work.

@"Erin’s Dad"‌ thanks for the advice! Btw should I explain my situation to the college, or should I just let them see the grade?

You want to tell the colleges now. They will receive your grades in July or August, and you don’t want to find out then that they’ve rescinded your offer of admission. You should have no problem. Call them and avoid scrambling to find a college in August.

@jkeil911‌ okay thank you that’s what I was hoping to hear! I’ll let them know ASAP. who should I speak with? Should I just dial admissions? My school doesn’t list its regional counselors on the website, so I don’t know who mine would be

call the main number and ask to speak to the AO who covers your region. if s/he is not available, speak to the person in charge of admissions. This happens all the time to graduating seniors. Learn now whatever lesson you’re supposed to learn from the poor decision(s) you’ve made. Try to make better decisions in the future.

Okay thanks @jkeil911‌

Btw a 79 sounds so much worse than an 80 ):
