So I was accepted from GMU as a transfer student but one of the transfer requirements was that I had to take a math class that GMU requires transfer students take. I took the class but failed it (it was calc). Could they take their acceptance back for that? They said that I should have taken the class before I arrive at Mason. I dont wanna pay the deposit fee if they’re gonna end up taking it back. I had A’s and B’s in all of my other classes this semester though, just an F in calc.
Call them and ask.
You likely had a provisional acceptance, and in order to be accepted, you needed to pass their required classes which sounds like it included calc. I would think that failing calc would mean that you did not fulfill the transfer requirements. I would see if you could take calc again in the summer and pass it.
This is my guess, but you should call and ask.
