Could my SAP appeal potentially be approved?

I’m going to keep this short and sweet.

In the Spring of 2015, i dropped three classes and it basically made my ineligible to receive financial aid for the 2015-2016 fall semester. I went to the community college i am attending and requested to receive a SAP appeal form. My reason for dropping those three classes is that my mother was struggling financially to pay the household bills and i volunteered to help her by taking up more hours at my job. Naturally i withdrew from the three classes that were in the way of that. Personally, i think this was a good reason to withdraw. My GPA was a 3.3 during my fall 2014 semester and i am not lazy nor unmotivated. Shortly after, my mom found a decent job and is now able to pay the majority of the bills alone with some assistance from me. With that being said, there are currently no circumstances that stand in the way of my education. The only problem i am having at the moment is that i have no idea how i could show proof of this besides showing check stubs, but will that be enough? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Just say all of that especially the part about your mom’s job.

A copy of her latest check stub will show year-to-date earnings, so should demonstrate pretty clearly that the job started recently. If you want something more formal, how about your mom asking her employer for a letter confirming the start date of her employment?

Too late now, but for others, you should have seen the Dean of Students about your predicament at the time you had to drop out. The school may have been able to offer a better solution, and if nothing else, it would have laid the groundwork for your return.
