I took three SAT II's this morning. The first two were in math and chemistry, and the third in biology. On the biology part I was planning to take either E or M depending on which was easier. I signed up for E initially since I did better on practice tests there, but on the actual test I had time to complete both parts. After finishing all 100 questions I decided I felt better with M. I changed the test to M and asked the proctor if I should erase my E answers and she told me I was only supposed to choose one beforehand. She filled out a "test irregularlity" form indicating what had happened.

So, could my biology score be cancelled? Or all three tests I took this morning? Should I contact College Board separately? Thanks!

I'm not sure, but you are supposed to choose one or the other the day of testing. You don't decide on the day you register. And if she made a mark on your test, CB will look into the situation. I highly doubt that they would cancel your score because of this.

Yeah, I realized that after she filled out the "irregularity" form. But, I guess I didn't think of that so hopefully I'll be fine. Do you think I'll get my scores cancelled though?

So...your test book got sent in with answers for 4 exams? I wonder how they'll handle that. Were you at least able to indicate WHICH biology test you wanted to have graded? I don't think it should matter that you changed your mind about which one to take. I think you can add/drop/change subject tests at will. I've heard that if you take more than you signed up for, CB will mark all that you took and bill you for the extra test(s). But I don't think they give refunds if you take fewer than you originally planned to (?). You took more than they are set up to handle, however. Interesting situation.

Yeah....I wanted to erase my E answers but the "head proctor" guy got mad at me and told me he'd just send in my test like that. It's the irregularity form I'm worried about, since thinking back on it the machine probably won't even look at answers 61-80 since I marked M.

idk if this is the same question, but what if at the beginning u filled out the M code, but then erased/changed it to the E code, but u could still see the M code (i may not have erased it completely)? would it be inferred that i had changed it during the test, and would there be a consequence for that?

I think the problem is that I got the proctor involved (no experience on my part). Had I filled in M (which I did) and said nothing, the machine would probably not even read questions 61-80. However, since I was dumb and got the proctor involved she wrote a "testing irregularity" form, so that means a real person is going to look at my test.

If they say something you can go on some pseudo-crying rant about how you filled the wrong 20 questions after skipping a bubble and got all messed up becuase your proctor was bad at directions and as a result all 100 questions are bubbled, tiny accident. :) all their fault.

I think they will manually grade it and post your scores later than the rest. I read something on CB about late scores and irregularities. Also, they will probably score whatever you had signed at the top (M or E).
