In terms of transfer admissions is it true that for many colleges & universities that it is harder to get in as a transfer student, then as a regular first-year student?

Thank you,

In terms of transfer admissions is it true that for many colleges & universities that it is harder to get in as a transfer student, then as a regular first-year student?

Thank you,

Yes. That is very true, especially at top colleges.

One small reason why you don’t wanna think HS is OKAY to blow off.

I ask because I have a below average high school GPA and test scores due to a learning disability in mathematics(didn’t blow off high school at all). However my GPA is quite strong and well above average for a first year college student, and that is likely to continue for next semester.

Especially considering fr many of the schools I’m applying to I’m performing average to above average to the student population already admitted to many of these schools.

Am I still screwed?

^I did not accuse you of blowing off high school.

And, no, you’re not screwed. Make sure you explain that learning disability of yours, and it’s strongly recommended that you have a medical proof showing that you actually have the disability. People who claim learning disability are growing and have doubled since colleges started sympathizing people who have them.

Sorry I wasn’t meaning to accuse you, it’s just usually someone says something in a thread like this and all the posters usually harp on the person who posted the thread.

Also I indeed do have very strong medical documentation of a learning disability in math.
