Could someone help me with these SAT 2 Writing Questions?

Can someone help me decipher the answers of these two error identification problems?

The Aztec and Inca civilizations, McNeil suggests, collapsed not so much from the force of Spanish arms as from the smallpox Cortez and Pizarro brought with them to Mexico and Peru. No error

and

Public health official have no accurate statistics on the number of Americans who are inflicted each year with food poisining, but estimates range from two to ten million. No error

Thanks guys

First: I think no error.
Second: A) it should be has no...official is singular, but if that's just a typo, then inflicted, which IMO should be infected

First: something's telling me B. "not so much from" doesn't seem correct, but I could be wrong.

First question, it is Health Officials (plural), not health official. Sorry about that

I thought it was c) as from for the first one and d) estimates range from two to ten million for the second on.

anyone else?

on the first one, it should be "but from"

C

B--inflicted is a diction error

1 C
2 D (public health officialS -should be- estimate
