This is my first post here, so I apologize in advance for any blunders I may make.
I'm going to be a senior at a school in a low-income area.

Weighted GPA: 4.5
Unweighted GPA: 3.93 (only so low because of how my undiagnosed ADHD affected my freshman grades)

SATs: 1860 (Math: 560, Critical Reading: 650, Writing: 650)
I'm working SUPER hard on getting my scores up. I had the flu the day that I took the test, although I know it's not an excuse.

SAT II: I am taking USH, Literature, and Math II in the fall.

Sophomore Year Classes: Honors English
Junior Year Classes: AP English (5), AP US History (4), Honors Pre-Calc
Senior Year Classes: AP English, AP Government, AP Photography, AP Calculus BC

I've been studying ballet since I was 4 and am in my local ballet company. I received national recognition for my dancing. I spent the summers of 2007-2009 at summer programs for ballet. Also, I was invited to dance with a prestigious dance school in 2009.

I have tons of community service from my dance experience. I also think I'm going to be mentoring someone with an eating disorder next year (I was formerly bulimic). Also, I've been teaching dance since I was a freshman.

I don't know if any of this matters, but my dad died in a work related incident when I was 13 and was a drug addict. Since he died, we're considered to be "low income" since my mother only makes $6000 a year. Also, I have a genetic tissue disorder for which I think I can get a couple scholarships.

My dream school is NYU. If I work on upping my SAT scores, do you think I could possibly get in? Thank you!

I'd offer to chance you back; however, I can assure you that my estimations would not be accurate in the least!
