My friend is an international. He has been admitted by Stanford in EA. However, Stanford does not offer him any financial aid. During these months, his family suffers from a terrible financial crisis. He has been only admitted to Stanford and no other schools. Would Stanford rescind him because of his family status? Or will Stanford help him. He is willing to accept loan. Thanks everybody

On my financial aid package Stanford says that it will accommodate students whose family suffered financial setbacks after the first financial evaluation. So, tell your friend to contact Stanford’s FA office immediately to try to work out a deal.

I think he’ll be fine; I doubt Stanford will be so unreasonable as to rescind his admission. Best of luck!

He should contact them ASAP. They will not rescind their admission, but they may or may not offer him aid. Being international will make it harder for him. The sooner he contacts them, the better his chances to find some solution…

contact soon. Stanford does offer aid sometimes to internationals.
