I applied to American kind of last minute on January 9. I know this is bad because American takes the applicant's interest in the school very seriously. However, I the only reason I was waiting to apply was because I had already applied to a few schools that my parents really wanted me to and the application fee was a little high at the time. On January 8 I got an email from American with an application fee so I submitted as soon as I could.

Anyway! I applied as an education major.
Class Rank: 19/60 (doesn't sound great, but my school is pretty competitive)
GPA: 91 unweighted.
ACT: comp: 28. writing: 29. reading: 29. science: 24. math: 28. essay: 8.
ECs: Ballet (20 hrs a week), teaching ballet, student council secretary, piano (since I was 5), National Honor Society, Tutoring at elementary schools twice a week, regular babysitter, full-time nanny during summer, school ambassador...and a number of clubs at my school.

Also I haven't been able to show interest in the school like I would have liked to. I live about 7 hours away and visiting has been out of the question this year. I did enter a couple of the chats that were open to prospective students but that's about it.
This is definitely the school I am most nervous to hear back from.
Thank you so much if you took the time to read this!
