My school doesn’t have gpa. I am always in the top 5 percentile of the class. I know my sat is a bit low which I plan to raise during my next attempt. But apart from my sat is every other thing good enough.

Each school would have a different way to calculate/recalculate GPA. The simplest way is to calculate the average using A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, E or below =0. If you have subgrades, then add A-=3.7, B+=3.3, B-=2.7, C+=2.3, etc.

In addition to that, some schools do not use subgrades, some schools only count core subjects, and some schools skip freshman grades.

^Unless you use the British scale, which is
A*= 4.3-4, A = 4, B=3.5 (or 3.3-3.7), C=3 (or 3.2-2.8), D = 2.5 (or 2.7-2.3), E= 2, F= 1, and everything else is 0.
Of course, grades have different numerical values, so that in some countries 7/10 would place you in the top 10% of your grade, and some schools have different grading schemes whereby they think extreme grade deflation will push their students to reach for higher results, such as a C at that school may result in an A nationally.
Your school profile should not attempt to produce a GPA, but rather indicate whether the school’s national board results are on par with the term or mock exam grades, whether a C at your school means a C for the exams, or a C at your school means a B for the exams, or a C at your school means a D for the exams. There should also be an indication of selection to your school (either at entrance, or at any point since Kindergarten that there was a streamlining of pupils) and what percentage students continue to selective or 4-year colleges

3.85 is the admission average for UMich overall (but below the average for Engineering), however, there is no standard in GPA and the adcom will look at your course curriculum and school profile. SAT 2110 is below admission average while your SAT2 are good. UMich CoE should be a reach for you.

My safety schools are Purdue and Worcester poly technique. I am giving my sat again and if my score becomes 2200+. What are my chances at upenn and ucberkeley
