<p>Hello,
I have applied to Trinity College (Connecticut), Furman University, Oberlin, Connecticut college, Gettysburg and Earlham.
I am an international Candidate from India.
GPA: 4.17 on a 5 scale.
Graduated at the top of my class and school from one of the most competitive Schools in my region.</p>

<p>SAT:
CR: 530
MT: 670
WR:490</p>

<p>SAT II
Math I: 690
PHY: 670
I know that this is a very pathetic score. But i'm sitting again on Dec tests. Working Hard.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Was the School Prefect in my high School.
Represented my State in Swimming championships.
Also member of the School Soccer team (Varsity Soccer). Won awards for being the best midfielder in the year 2008.
Also participated in National Debate Competition.
Won the first prize in many quiz programs and competitions.
Won the Academic Excellency award consecutively for two years in my high School.
President of the Environmental Protection Society in our city.
Member of the Mountaineering Institute. Have gone to many a expeditions including Everest Base.
I play the Sitar since I was 8 years of age. Played across my city and state, not to mention my school annual function.
Was in the school choir group.
Member of the AIDS Awareness group in my City.
I teach some impoverished kids in my locality to read and write for free and help them to buy things from my pocket money. I have even made a membership and I have about 5 volunteers for this work.</p>

<p>I have managed to write a good essay for my college. So college essays wont be a problem.</p>

<p>It seems I have used most of my time on my EC than my studies.!! </p>

<p>I'll be glad if any of you can help me. And I would surely return the favor in some way or the other. As i know very little of US universities I can help you to Chance you.</p>

<p>Your SAT’s are pretty poor for the caliber of schools ur applying to… but the GPA, EC’s, and essays all look fantastic! Here are my chances:</p>

<ul>
<li>Conn College: Match (SAT Optional… ur in business)</li>
<li>Oberlin: BIG BIG Reach (that SAT will kill you; suggest replacing it with American in Washington DC or Grinnell in Iowa)</li>
<li>Furman: In</li>
<li>Gettysburg: In</li>
<li>Earlham: In</li>
<li>Trinity (CT): BIG Reach (ditto, look into those 2 as well as Suffolk University in Boston, Ursinus, in Pennsylvania, and Skidmore in NY)</li>
</ul>

<p>Like you, I had pathetic SAT scores but my school grades are pretty good. Plus I am from the ISC board. Harder than the CBSE board.</p>

<p>Someone from Connecticut college came to my school. You have a really good chance there! Are you applying for aid?</p>
