Counselor's an Idiot...

Okay, our school is pretty messed up and we got a whole set of new counselors who do not know what they're doing. I had 3 different counselors during my high school years. My current one is very stubborn and does not listen to her students. I asked her to include I did not continue Latin cause the teacher quit, but she did not put that on her rec, so it just looks bad on my part. Also, I asked her to write the reason why I was unable to take some classes. I had scheduling conflicts, and was unable to take a few APs. Also, my high school had a stupid policy where they didn't let kids take honors classes if they did not take pre-reqs in middle school, so I had only one honors freshmen year. However, I took honors and APs the next few years with the exception of the ones I could not take, but then I'm "behind some students." For example, I took bio sophomore year rather than freshmen year.

Should I explain it myself on additional info?

Honestly, this happens everywhere. Scheduling conflicts, pre-requisites, and stubborn counselors. Explaining yourself in the “Additional Information” section might make it look like you are providing unneeded information, or worse, excuses for discrepancies on your transcript.
