<p>Go with ‘counselor,’ ‘school counselor,’ 'guidance counselor, or even ‘advisor’. You’re right - I’m not sure why they ask this question, unless they’re considering students at small schools who may not have a counselor or have one that has a different title.</p>
<p>Would I just write “parent” then?</p>
