<p>yeah i agree with @GoldenRatio. As it comes closer to the 9th I am gonna be going through past applicants cause I really want to get in somewhere lol</p>
<p>I, personally, am doing everything in my power to forget about applications. I still have to submit my Andover essay and short answers, but they’re done already - I just want to reread and edit them a few more times before submitting them. After that’s in, here’s my plan for time to pass:</p>
<ul>
<li>Focus on school, school, school. Just because applications are in doesn’t mean grades don’t matter anymore.</li>
<li>Focus on dance. In addition to my regular classes, I am taking daily adult classes, and stretch and work out nightly when I get home.</li>
<li>Stay healthy. I recommend this for all of you guys. No matter how hard it is, keep time for you. I try to be in bed by 10:30 every night so that I can read for a while, then get a solid 8 hours of sleep. I wake up and make sure to cook myself a good breakfast, because that lifts my mood for the whole day. Just take time to do little things that YOU enjoy, because your happiness shouldn’t rely on the news that comes on March 10th. Happiness comes from inside yourself, so make sure to take time out to reflect and appreciate that you are alive. </li>
<li>Speaking from having already applied once, March 10th will come in no time. So just relax! It’s out of your hands now.</li>

<p>^ Ideastically, that is what I should be doing. But I just can’t! </p>
<p>The applications have an almost magnetic quality, and captivate your attention like a roaring flame. I feel like the helpless moth-knowing that I mustn’t get too near but flapping my wings nevertheless.</p>
<p>I know everything is left to chance, but I am a desperate gambler, trying to see if the cards can be stacked or the die weighted.</p>

<p>Haha, I understand the sentiment, GoldenRatio. Just trust me, it will go by fast! There’s only a little over a month left, and think about how quickly a month went by since Christmas. M’10 will be here in the blink of an eye!</p>

<p>I got an email saying they would email me.</p>

<p>They were basically like “Thanks for applying! We’ll email you in the next week or so”</p>
<p>:) Haha, go figure! I think my parents got that e-mail…But I also got a letter like that, from my interviewer no less. Slightly puzzled.</p>
<p>GoldenRatio I think we all got the same email saying we received your application and we’ll email you by next week if your missing anything.</p>
<p>Hotchkiss is waiving the interviews… does that mean it’s not as important as the other components of the app?</p>

<p>The only part where I felt confident, willy, and witty was during the interviews…my application fell flat 
I would hate for the interview to count less than its already minimal impact (<-IMO)</p>

<p>On the topic of randomness: Today, my culture was denounced (because we are “morons”) by the guy whose country brought out “Gangnam Style.” IMO, that achievement cannot be beat in terms of idiocy.</p>
