to iwantlehigh
yah, both schools are very good at engineering, and the sports games between lafayette and lehigh are very exciting
btw , where are you from ? I am from Fuzhou,China
to hello,
schools in pa or new england are almost white

I don't think it is right to judge a school by its "whiteness". Typically white Americans are more, and richer, and a bigger percentage decides to attend undergraduate institutions compared to other "races" or minorities in the US. But white people are also all Europeans, Australians, etc.

Anyway, I can't find the link for the site, but in Lehigh there were relatively many chineese (around 100), and again relatively many Turkish. Bulgarians are 3 (2 of them I know the other one is in graduate study, and dont know him.)

My name is Zdravko, I am from Bulgaria, south-east Europe (in case you don't know it ;) ). My problem is that I am rather poor and am hoping for financial aid. I know much about Computer Science, but don't want to be just another programmer after graduation, so I got attracted by Lehigh's program Computer Science & Business.

iwantlehigh, you sort of boosted my confidence about applying to Lehigh. Thanks :)

zdravko, I did know Bulgaria, but I thought it was in east Euro.

And, about financial aid , i dont think Lehigh offers financial aid to int'l students, perhaps some types of merit-scholarship, you may try some LAC, they are quite generous to int'l students , like Colby , Macalester, and no need to say Lafayette,I knew there are five Chinese currently study in Lafayette, and each year , about 700-800 international students apply to Lafayette , most international applicants are from China ,India , and Bulgaria

Yes, Lehigh does not give much aid, especially to internationals, but it is so good it is worth to be an ED choice.
One thing I came up with - "Lehigh is high, but still worth a try!"

East, south-east - its the same basically. As an ex-communist country, Bulgaria is poor.
Two people people from my school are ED to Lafayette, and there is no way I can beat them.
One has 750+ on three language SAT II, 1550+ SAT I, gpa straight A, her brother graduated Lafayete, etc, etc.
The other has almost as great SAT's, worse GPA (but still better than me), but recently won some international robotics olympiad in China.
Both want financial aid...

oh man , it is really a bad news for me , Lafayette only admit two -four early applicants each year.God bless you and me !
