Countdown to RD Decisions (Class of 2018)

How do you get an Esther account to check on financial aid and scholarships?

I have no idea how to find the cost of attendance. All I see is the grant and TD scholarship.

So is the scholarship info available on the admissions portal, and if so, where? Or do you have to log into ESTHER?

How do you check for decision

I’m having trouble logging onto Esther/finding my student ID. Can anyone help?

@Mlolo98
Here you go!
ACT: 35
SAT: 2220
Rank: 4/412
GPA: 4.0/4.7
EC’s: pretty standard, leadership in debate, orchestra, nhs, 200+ volunteer hours, job at the nuclear science museum, etc.

@koalathebear - student id was sent in an email asking you to create Esther account. You need to contact finaid@rice.edu

My Esther is telling me that I don’t have any aid… O.O

SAT 2220
AC 32
AP’s: Chemistry, Calc AB, US Hist, Human Geo, Math 2 — al 5’s
Ranked 11 out of 779 seniors
EC’s were mostly his swimming years

It looks like my son got a separate email on January 27 from the financial aid office. There was a link and a student ID listed there. It’s from fina@rice.edu.

Also, help! for those accepted, where is the major indicated?

Does anyone know how enrollment was for the class of 2017? If they over enrolled or hit their target? Just wondering because over enrollment would make it more likely that they’d use their waitlist this year. Otherwise I’m not going to bother because I doubt I’d get enough aid to attend anyway, even though Rice is one of my top choices.

Mine is too, which I know is wrong because I am definitely veeery needy.

@Mlolo98 Give me a sec to calm myself, it’s a quarter past 4 in the morning here in Delhi :stuck_out_tongue:

@heptagirl - look at C2 for waitlist …
http://www.oir.rice.edu/uploadedFiles/Office_of_Institutional_Research/Content/Common_Data_Set/CDS_2012-2013%20Short%20CDS.pdf

Rejected. Not even a waitlist. I’m pretty sure I’m still in shock, but I still feel like a complete failure. Congrats to everyone who got accepted! :smiley: Rice is a very special place (I have so many memories there since my brother attended) and I hope that(if you decide to attend) the next 4 years are amazing!

@stanfordmania - time to change name to ricemania given the 86k

What do click after login
