Countdown to RD Decisions

but no way rachie, i emailed the colby admission office and asked them abt finaid and they replied that intls get aids just like americans do

thats partly why i applied to colby :p

oops sorry maybe i'm getting it mixed up with somewhere else, i can't think of a good reason then.

I'm in!! Yayyy!! However, their aid was 10000 short of Carleton's... Arghh...

for Itracku_down

I am from Assam

does colby offer any merit based scholarships???

Can anyone share the wording of the acceptance letter? Rejection? I am curious as to any stats, as I hope to know how realistic getting of this waitinglist is.

I got into Colby. I am so happy.

Colby does not offer merit aid. They do meet 100% of financial need with a package of loans, work study, and grant.
My daughter got her acceptance letter on Friday. It's always been her first choice and I'm glad that she was accepted.

She didn't apply ED?

I hadnt applied for financial aid earlier? Is there something that can be done now

FishS,
My daughter did not apply ED because of our family finances. She also got accepted at other schools with grant money. But Colby has always been her first choice.

Wowsah, I got 26,000 in grant, I'm SOOO happilicious!!

I also got a 26,000 grant. We're lobbying for more though. Its very complicated dealling with financial aid for U.S. citizens who are permanent residents(paying foreign taxes) abroad.

Congrats!! Hope everything works out for ya! :-)

I got 35K and happy about it!

holy geesums!! Congrats!

congrats to all who I will see next year
