i got deferred EA (not from MIT), took me about a week to get back on track. Right after I saw the letter though, I had to be on my way to my MIT interview.

Everyone learn the super beaver chant and say it before you get your letter.

"I'm a beaver, you're a beaver, we are beaver's all.
And when we get together, we do the beaver call:
E to the U du dx,
E to the X dx,
cosine secant tangent sine,
3.14159
Integral, radical, mu, dV,
Slipstick, sliderule, MIT!"

this is originally Geot's idea, and you can blame him if you don't get in!

please does anyone know where i can get the percentage of applicants (both accepted and rejected, no deferred for internationals!) from international countries

man, I'm dying.

I got deferred EA, and since then I've been successfully employing the "hope for the best, expect the worst" ideology, but now I can't help but let it take over my thoughts.

Ahh, I hope I get in!

So how about we post arrival expectation dates geographically. It will help if there are people who applied EA to tell us how long it takes them to send it. I'd assume:
East Coast: Saturday
Midwest: Monday
West Coast: Tuesday.
Is this right? Am i over/underestimating any place here?

East Coast: Saturday-Monday

West Coast: Monday-Wednesday

is it possible that they send on friday and u get on same day if u live in MA

I wonder - is it possible for the mail to come on Saturday to NJ - 30 minutes from NYC?

OK GUYS, THIRTY HOURS!!! THIS IS IT!!

hehe, well... 30ish hours until they send them, for some of us it's basically another five days until we receive them... Sunday evening I'll be counting though. ;_;

they sent EA decisions on a Friday, and I didnt get mine (near princeton NJ) until monday =(
