Let her in Ben! If she already isn't in the admit stack let her in!

oh Ben thats kewl - I am just wondering - how do you look at int'l student who lives in USA - do you put him/her along with ppl from the state where he lives or ppl from his country?

I don't know about DHL, but FedEx works on weekdays as well as weekends.

For me, waiting is definitely worse. I'd rather call, either celebrate or cry, then move on with my life. These past few weeks have been a real torture... one day I'm confident that I will get in; the other day I have a feeling I'll be rejected. It's been the longest days of my life... when will March 11 come?

I wish I had Hermione's time-forwarder hourglass. :)

7 more days (most likely) for those on the west coast...
next weekend will NOT be fun, with every. single. thought. relating to admissions.

Bad thing for me is: because i have a small mailbox (apartment), the postman usually leaves the oversized mail OUTSIDE. So the moment I come home I'll know, kind of anticlamactic.

GOOD LUCK, DAWGGGGG!
ok just kidding about the dawg part...it was just tempting. =D

gl all. I hope that everyone here gets in... everyone sounds so cool here. = )

do u think VT schools will get letter by Friday?

and where did u guys hear that they send letters friday? and do u get the letter on friday or they just mail it on that day?

i cant wait to see the leets post decision post

my.mit.edu <-- look on the frontpage...
it will be mailed on friday

man this is SO SCARY!!! :( :(

i dunno how i'm gonna get through the weekend with that hanging over my head. probably gonna be on CC the entire time, waiting for the mail and reading others' acceptances (hopefully a lot)/ rejections (hopefully few).

dys2k6 you're so amusing!=) Ben, I presume you aren't allowed to reveal how many applicants have been admitted from each country? LOL=)

sidewinder77: I don't suppose the postman would be so cruel as to leave such a large important envelope outside?! What if it starts raining? I think the postman will ring your doorbell=)

But the data for previous years' classes are available from the registrar's website...

Mmmm are we heading towards another CC hookup? ;)

thnx for the reference...yeah, grand total of 307 undergrads with 127 in engi fac...total undergrads i mean for all 5 yrs..

mercurysquad - i meant for this particular year - the apps that are currently waiting to be sent off by dhl=)

oh man.... matt's blog juz said tt today was the last n final day of international selection.....NERVOUS WRECK.....i really hope we ppl got thru positively ....crosses fingers and looks up to heaven

I shall not be nervous anymore=) I shall just not expect to get a package, and if it does come it will just be a surprise=)

mit_hopefulgirl
that is the best way to think about it.
Not to be mean, but everyone should prepare for the small package, everything works out sooo much better that way. Instead up building up for the small letter, pretend you know its coming and that anything else is a pleasant (understated) surprise.

that's so true about thinking about getting a little package, i don't know, after being deferred under EA, i'm totally expecting a reject letter now, so anything else will be pleasing
