Countdown.

God I'm bored. And I'm anxious. In a way I'm anxious/bored. Anyways, 17 days left. I'm just praying all got in well...17 days.

+/-

I got my letter on the 17th. I think. checks

Damn. I forgot the right date. It was actually the 14th...

Just wait for the fat envelope. :P

did the envelope say CONGRATULATIONS! on it for the acceptance letter?

Nope.

Hopefully you will see. :p

Just so nobody has a heart attack at the mailbox, my D's early decision acceptance letter came in a standard sized business envelope.

"This is the fat one"

You want your envelope, your very very thing envelope, to say that on the back.

I can relate to the bored anxiousness, NJPitcher. I should be working on other apps, but it's a big meh feeling. I can't wait for that letter.

P.S. Where in NJ are you?

I really thought that having things totally out of my hands would be a great feeling, but it's possibly even more stressful than the app itself.

I'm in Northern jersey (Short Hills/Millburn), and I actually just found out somebody else from my school applied to Swat early...I thought I was the only one :-/

Where in NJ are you?

And noodles, I completely agree. Dec 15 can't come fast enough, one way or another.

eclipse, i know exactly what you mean. i can seem to focus on any of my other apps because i just don't feel there that important. 16 more days!

so it's just a regular evelope. no one willing to tell what the acceptance letter says?

good luck to you all. i'm not an EDer but you guys sound really stressed.

I literally have the countdown written down on each day on my calendar. I wore one of my Swats shirts today and like 8 people asked me if I'd heard....rar.

Wow, wearing a swat shirt. I haven't bought any college anything. I do have a countdown on my comp though:

15 days, 18 hours, 21 minutes until 4pm Dec 15, when my mail usually gets here.

But who's counting ;)

hahaha thats slightly obsessive. I have a swat track jacket, picked it up during DW. I just had The realization that college is just around the corner, and basically senioritis kicked in for the rest of the night

For a while I even considered going home early to check my mailbox on the 15th or even maybe the 14th...I have a countdown too, I'll admit it. I refused to buy any college gear when I went a-visiting because I didn't really see the point, especially before I even knew where I was applying. I think I have a really bizarre Harvard bookmark with a face somewhere, but I swear I didn't buy it.

OK, so I really felt sorry for you guys remembering what it was like around here a couple of years ago. I dug through the pile of crap on S's desk and found "the envelope." Not regular business size, but rather a 6" x 9", mailed on 12/12 (02) with absolutely nothing on the outside to indicate it was a positive decision. A THIN envelope, the contents of which began with the word "Congratulations!" Good luck to all of you!

My envelope had the words "This is the FAT [small-caps] one." printed on the outside.

Arador,
They obviously "upgraded"!

Hopefully we'll all be able to tell you what this year's acceptance letters look like/say/depict/anything...under 15 2/3 days left, maybe less if something happens like what happened to Arador (the 14th, that'd be nice).

Unless they've gone electronic, and we get our results online now...

My D did ED in 2004 - the acceptance was a THIN envelope that sported the legend "This is the FAT one!." Just as Arador remembers. You could just about hear the chuckles embedded in the print. Good luck to all! Your chances, as ED applicants, are excellent!
