Countdown.

YES.

And I have friends who applied to Columbia who find out tomorrow. It's crazy...I feel like I've been waiting for this week for the past 4 yrs of my life.

the realization is quite shocking. i think it hit me pretty badly a few weeks ago, i just kind of sat at my desk all night and was just dumbfounded at the fact that next year we'll all be in college, whichever it may be. does quite a number on you, and on your homework (senioritis). i thought columbia found out the same time we did. but yeah i live in pittsburgh, which is like 2 inches away from swarthmore on the map so i'm thinking i might get mines on the 14. not knowing when it's going to arrive is also terrifying. well best of luck to everyone. keep your fingers crossed.

Yea, I'm one state over, like 2 hours away, the 14th may be it for me too.

And Columbia apparently moved up their decision date, catching many of my friends off guard...tomorrow will be interesting.

haha apparently my friend who's applied ED to columbia didn't know that. i just told him. to put it simply, i think he's staying home tomorrow and sitting by his mailbox all day.

We've waited so long, but it still seems ridiculously far away. It's terrible to have to just sit it out--especially when my friends are going to hear from Columbia, Darthmouth, Brown, etc., all by Monday at the very latest. Waiting is pretty bad, but I guess it'll be alright to miss the frenzy at my school by a day or two. I think I'll be hearing by the 14th as well.

are all other ED coming back this week?

No, as far as I know most come back the ~15th, but a few do in fact come back this week.

Ahh, I'm so jealous of my Columbia friends... the email is sent in half an hour : / I just want to know one way or the other... next week can't come soon enough. I'm in Northern NJ (Bergen County), so I'm hoping my letter comes the 14th. Good luck everyone... hopefully we'll all be celebrating this time next week : )

All of my friends are finding out as I type this. God is this depressing. I would give quite a bit to know right now. Even if it was a negative, I'd still rather know.

yeah, so the admissions officer called today for my 9 weeks grades, and basically told my GC that my application was "in committee".. O_O so slighty worried and depressed, cause of that and my friend who ED'd to columbia got rejected so we're 0/1

Wow, it just hit me that I didn't mention my AP Scores. Imentioned I was a Scholar with Honor, but not the scores themselves (heck, to be a scholar with honor you only need 3 3s and a 4). Augh, I feel like it would've helped too (I got a B in History, but a 5 on the test; our school is just really hard). Looking back, it's not fair that your most important application is also your very first, mistakes will be made :(.

For the official countdown: 3 days, 23 hours, 35 minutes (although I think mine will be here a day before then). It's coming up.

Ohh boy i'm getting even mor nervous. it hurts to wait.......................
