counter strike

hey uh... how much time do ppl have over at ucb? do alot of ppl play computer games?

if you are an engineering major, cs is mandatory.

quake IV.....must pick that up

Quake 3 Arena is still popular in the Unit LAN parties, and Counter-Strike is of course top spot.

games are very prevalent here.. from what ive seen, the popular ones are CS, DOTA, WOW, and definately smash bros (for the nintendo consoles)

no Unreal Tournament?

that ****ing sucks.

yeah, you're right.
UT really sucks ;)

haha man quake 3 was the shiz

anybody ever heard of Enemy Territory?

Yup, was pretty decent back in the day (but what totally turned me off it was Battlefield).

And Unreal Tournament became rather unpopular because of its very unbalanced weapon structure, making the game known for spray and pray rather than legit deathmatch.

Quake Wars will be the ultimate when it comes out. But DOD:S and BF2 will be for me. I hate with an immense passion anything MMORPGs and thus WoW.

We worship farcry where i'm from.

The only problem is that Far Cry system requirements are pretty steep, try running that on the Berkeley computers.

I'll take UT any day over CS. >_>

Shock rifle > you.

Nah, I'll flak cannon your ass.

Boom headshot?

Flak cannon is useless at a long distance. SR has range and can be decent in close quarters if you know how to aim :)

I'd rather sidestep my way towards a closer hit, I was never a fan of the Shock Rifle anyway. The Biorifle I also enjoy using.

Boom Headshot? Pure pwnage FTW.

Any RTS fans here?

Also anyone try out the new Steam game, the Ship? I heard it's pretty fun. It costs $20 so I'm holding out for one week.

it's all about cs 1.6

but flak's alternate fire is amazing...i use it like a rocket launcher (takes skills :p), and it's killer at close range

ugh we're all nerds
