Is transfer admissions generally a binding process? If I apply to a school and I am accepted, will I be forced to go there?

Is there such thing as transfer admissions where you transfer Fall of Freshman year and attend a new college in the following semester. Ex. Is it possible that a freshman transfers from a school now and is attending the new one by spring time?

So what is the procedure one would take for question 2.

What are the dates for applying

How do credits transfer over?

Does anyone here have experience with a transfer like this?

How much harder is it to be accepted with this timeline?

Does being accepted into the school (accelerated program) help you at all? Hurt since I originally turned it down?

Thanks for all the help, any other insight is appreciated.

For the schools I applied to, the policy is that if you have less than one year under your belt, then you must apply as a first year student rather than a transfer.
