couple of questions

I'm currently in my 3rd semester of community college. I decided to go back to school on a whim after I took a year off following HS graduation. Basically, I got absurdly bored working 40hrs a week at a job I hated. I had never planned on going to school beyond high school, so I'm new to this entire process. I wanted to ask about credits. Due to personal issues, its not going to be possible for me to transfer until spring 2008. If I keep taking alot of credits a semester, I will have far exceeded the 62 required for an AA in Liberal Arts. I'm a big dork tho and don't mind taking extra classes that interest me....is that going to be a problem? I mean if I apply with almost 90 credits, how's that going to go over? I know I could take a semester off or something, but I would really rather be shot than have to work my 40hr a week job with no sort of intellectual challenge at all.

Also, can transfers give up credits? One of the schools I'm most interested in (College of the Atlantic) has an amazing program, and I would like to spend as much time getting an education there as possible.

You should check with the school. Most places that I've looked into prefer that you don't have that many credits, but often they will fix the problem by only accepting so many of those credits. I believe most schools accept a maximum of 60 hours, and that's pushing it since CC classes don't always 'match up' with courses at the university you're looking to transfer to.
