Course Numbering System

<p>I have a basic question, which I am sure is probably a stupid question, but I have to ask. My son is looking at courses for his first semester freshman year and found some 300 and 400 level courses in the undergrad bulletin that he is very interested in. The course description does not state any prerequsites, but just the nature of being a 300 and 400 level courses makes me leary that it is available to freshmen. Can anyone tell me if this is the case? Specifically he is interested in Anthropology 422 and Communications 330.</p>

<p>If there is no prerequisites, then I guess he could, but his advisor wouldn’t advise so. I would suggest discussing with an advisor before registering for 300 level course. I assume you know the course numbering system. If you don’t, page 27 in the bulletin.</p>
