OK, I just found out Carnegie requires 1 year of physics. I couldn't fit physics into my schedule this year. What should I do? Carnegie's my second choice...

Take it online and report it on the app as an online course?

Is there any way to waive the requirement though? I'm already overworked this year with all my AP's. Do any of you guys know of such cases where a requirement was waived?

yeah i'm wondering the same thing for applying to harvard. they require 4 foreign language classes to get in. i only have 3 (my last one is ap spanish). any way to get around that so that i can apply?

the only sure way to find out is call their admissions office...i doubt anyone on here knows for sure, and you dont want wrong info on stuff like this, so call or email the school admission office, ASAP

dunno, if anyone is an international student in this thread, but sometimes these requirements are waived for international students because they realize different countries have diffeerent education systems.

And UC Berkeley has 1 full year of performing/visual arts requirement. I'm a dancer, so can I get this waived? Or are these just recommended courses? I know there's people here familiar with the UC's!

I agree- I would call the admissions office. In your case with physics if you explain why you were unable to take it (and that you did try to fit it in) I can't imagine they would deny you admission just because of that.
