Hi,

I had trouble finding out what kind of courses are required for undergraduate arts and sciences. I remember seeing something on the Tufts' website, but now I can't find it. I know there are some language requirements and am assuming there are a bunch more. Could someone send me the link or tell me what they are?

Thanks~

yeah, but that website can make your eyes glaze over. There are distribution requirements (two math, two science, two social science, two humanities, two fine arts), and foundation requirements (which, uh, correct me if I'm wrong...don't feel like clicking that link Ben has so helpfully posted...English 1 and 2; World Civ - a class about an African, Asian or Latin American culture, essentially; the Language requirement - six semesters of language or culture courses). Then there are major requirements, which differ according to the department, naturally.

Most of these can be really easy to fill; I signed up for classes and realized later they all filled some requirement or other. But yeah, you may have to take some classes you wouldn't normally - I'm friends with two premeds and a Comp Sci who took Intro to World Music to fill a Fine Arts and World Civ requirement. That's another thing - you can sometimes double-count classes. I think that you can double-count as long as it doesn't count for two distribs or two foundations; if it counts for one distrib and one foundation it prob. works.
