Course Selection: Class of 2016

Hey everyone, I’m supposed to choose which classes I will be taking next year (senior year) in the next couple of days. I’m unsure as to which classes I should be taking. At first I was not planning on taking AP Bio next year and instead taking AP Environmental Science, but I am now rethinking my choice. I have always taken rigorous courses in my high school career. This year I took 5 AP classes (Chemistry, English, Spanish IV, English, and Psychology). Next year I am planning on taking AP English IV, AP Stats, AP Calculus, AP Gov/Econ, and possibly AP Spanish V. In addition to AP/PAP Classes I am currently in my school band, NHS, NTHS, HOSA, and VP of the Spanish Club. My SAT scores were pretty high and I’m planning on going to a top tier school. So what should I do? Take APES or AP Bio? (I want to major in chemistry and want to go down a pre med path)

Thanks in advance!

I’ve seen people taking AP Bio and self-studying for the APES exam.
(I’m not sure if your school allows that, but that’s one way to do both)

Take the one that interests you more; if you like APES more than AP Bio, I see no reason to take AP Bio over APES. However, if you haven’t taken a biology class, then AP Bio’s a better bet.

@ThatPurpleKoala‌ I did take a PAP course freshmen year, but I’m primarily concerned with the rigor. I want to make sure I have a really good set of rigorous courses to wow the college of my choice.
