Hello, I am new transfer student in UMich and, sure, it is not easy school to deal without good planning strategy and habits. So, I want to ask what your planning tips are and how do you plan? Also, any tool or mobil/tablet app suggestion are warmly welcome.
What app do you use (or suggest) to plan weekly to schedule your course work evenly other than Google Calender? I am sure a lot of you have to have good set plan to deal with immense amount of assignments and projects. Any planning tips also appreciated
Hi there! I am in the same boat as you and I love using eCoach to create study schedules and plan for exams and coursework. Actually, one of my classes offers extra credit if we use it and its been amazing. I’d recommend you hop on and try it too. And I always love my Michigan Planner (keep everything from daily activities, class work, to extracurriculars in there too! Welcome to Michigan… hope you’re liking it here. The transition has been a little hard for me but I have adjusted well!
Hi! I’m a junior undergrad here. Each semester I take about 4-5 hours after I received my last syllabus and write EVERYTHING for the entire semester into a giant planner. I write down every assignment I have due (even little suggested readings) on the first few lines for each day of the month. In the middle lines I right down my classes for that day, and then on the bottom few lines I write down any meetings/tests/parties/anything EC related I have that day and what time they’re at. Then at the start of each week I use this planner and go through and write on a separate piece of paper the time frames during the week that I am going to do each assignment/study. Hope this helps!
@illinoisgolf Great idea! I focus on my exams, quizzes, and daily priorities. But I think it would be even more helpful if I start writing my readings in there too.
Thank you guys for your suggested tips. I appreciate it.
