I know that I might/probably will change my intended major since I'm only going to be a junior, but as of now I'm in some type of engineering, specifically chemical.

My courses are:

Math HL
Chemistry HL
English HL
Physics SL
Spanish SL
Economics SL

I'm aiming for top ten US schools. Is this a good start? Should I change anything?

I think that’s a good start

Your subjects combination is great but i would consider switching HL chemistry for physics since chemical engineering is more heavy on physics than chemistry. But if you think you’ll do better in sl physics by all means stick with hl chemistry!

If you study Chem E, you will have to do the chemistry and calc classes anyway. You could probably AP/IB out of calc 1 or 2 depending on what actual college you go to. I would focus more on getting a 2300 sat or 35 act score…that will determine more your chances of a top ten school admissions.
