Sorry.
I've never written one before.
What goes into a cover letter?
My mentor at school suggested that I start with a resume and a cover letter. (currently applying for a research lab internship).

Thanks!

a brief overview of qualifications and an advertisement for yourself and your goals- thats what i usually put. good luck

Your cover letter shouldn't be a reiteration of everything that's in your resume; you should talk about how your skills apply to the position you are applying for, why you are interested in the position, and how you'll benefit the employer.

If you search on Google/other search engines for cover letters, you can usually find some sample ones to give you an idea of where to start.
