I have a couple questions about the Cox School Of business

How is viewed outside of Texas/Dallas? Is it nationally repected or just with in the dallas area?

How does it compare to Texas A&M's business school?

Cox School of Business is known internationally. I am not even a business school major at SMU and I know how reputable the program is. There are TV commercials, billboards, you name it. We have a HUGE CEO wall in Cox to show all of the professionals who have come out of our program.

Dallas is the place to be in this economy and I have not heard of any SMU business school seniors who have graduated without finding a job. Most of them have a job secured around Christmas Break during their senior year. That is incredible!

SMU Cox School of Business is our top program here and we are very proud of it. It goes beyond Texas and reaches to our international students who hail from various areas, and more recently, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and central and South America.

I am from Florida so I am not familiar with A&M. Hopefully someone else can answer that question!

Also, another thing that is really nice about SMU’s business school is that you aren’t competing against other students for admission into the program like you are at many larger schools. Instead, to be admitted to our business program, you need to take a subset of 7 classes and maintain a 3.3 GPA and you will be guaranteed a spot in the program.

Additionally, because our school is considerably smaller than A&M, you will get much more individualized attention and support from our great faculty in Cox.
