Hello,

I am a CPA with a Masters and Bachelors in Accounting, I've been working for a couple of years (almost 4) at a "Big 4" public accounting firm. I am currently on the path to switching from auditing to M&A due diligence.

I have recently started entertaining the idea of going to law school, is there anyone out there that took this path or has any advice? I would not be interested in tax law which seems to be the popular area for CPA/LAW degree candidates. I would be more interested in working with M&A law, do you think having my CPA would help me? I think that at the end of the day it won't necesarily help me or hurt me, will just be a + for law firms or private equity firms. Is it worth the investment on my end or should I just take the financial route to M&A activity.

By the time I finish law school I'll be 29/30, if I was to stay where I am I would be at the Manager level.
