CR:fill in the blank??

i hate fill in the blank questions..

it seems like memorizing a lot of words would help to get those questions right.

I hate it is there any advices to it?

i got around 500 CR

but i wanna get 800.. desperately thanks guys

That's a hard goal to accomplish.

If you want an 800, memorizing, at this point and judging by your score, no offense, is going to be the only way, along with better CR skills.

I have a similar score. Don't take it personally.

one more thing : does SAT Official Questions of the day help?? I subscribed those like a year ago and my e-mail box is filled up with these questions
i wonder if it actually helps.. sometimes it seems easier than SATs but i dont know..

well thats what i thought.. i hate memorizing just 'words' i wish the blue book had a 'vocab list'.. yeah im glad i found someone who has similar scores.. we can do this!! (if you are taking december SAT)

my cr score was 500-540 at the beginning with only 300-500words memorized...
and i thought that i was done with memorizing and next step to do was improving my test-taking strategies....and i ran through tens of strategies and after 1.5months of "strategy improvment" my score had rissen just 20pts...and there were cases in which it went lower :D
you could say that 20pts is fairly good, but try memorizing words for 1.5months and compare your progress :)
in my opinion word power is the only way out, when
- you have tried "every" strategy
- you loose time in SC
- you are not so keen in reading
and especially when you are int'l
actually i recognized this fact too late to make a good improvment and i managed to get a 590 in my CR :)
anyway, will be shooting for 730+ after i finish barrons 3500

i dont have barrons but i have grubers 3400 .. are they any good? does anyone know if they are any good?

Actually, just subscribing won't do any good. You have to actually answer the questions and check your answers.
