Hello, I am conflicted on developing a solid, sound strategy for approaching questions.
So far, I have come across these main ones:
- Read the passage/skim, go back to answer the questions in more detail when done.
- Answer the questions while you are doing the passage
- Mark line references and look at the questions beforehand.
Also, as a side note, I am trying to develop the habit of looking for transitions because a lot of questions include it some way, but here’s the main thing:
Method 1- It has worked so far, but many people don’t seem to mention it with their strategies, so maybe this is not the way to go?
Method 2- I recently came across a passage in the blue book where this strategy did not serve me very well, as the passage seemed tough in a sense, but maybe the passage was hard in general and using method 1 wouldn’t work that well either, although I did not try it and I did feel I was able to grasp the passage better after.
Method 3- I have not used this method, well maybe once- but I feel as it confuses me.
Thanks, I really need some help.
